I just saw a “render" of what a Mac mini could look like if it borrowed design cues from the Mac Studio. It is just a Mac Studio with an inch cut off the top. Ooh, look, I made one too!
@dmoren Man, some of these link bait sites got their bottom of the barrel scraped but good this morning.
@dmoren Sassy Dan is the best Dan 🤣
@dmoren The article idea was more about just trying spark discussion about what Apple could do with a redesign, especially with Studio's future being unclear. But yes, as part of our internal discussion before posting, I created a Mac Studio Max.

@eslivka @dmoren

Make it just a touch taller and it could be a Mac Cube, featuring an M* Quadra chip! :)

@dmoren yes, let's write an article based on a post in our forums from user *checks notes* "Rickroller”
@dmoren
Back in 2021, I made this Mac Pro based on the rumours of the day
@tvaziri @dmoren I went looking for that GIF a few months back and ended up making my own.
@dmoren lolz I had the same thought.
@dmoren Nothing would make me happier if a future Mac Pro is just a taller Mac Studio. How powerful your computer is is directly tied to how extruded the round rect is.
@danprovost @dmoren What if they made them 30" tall? Then we could buy four and use them to hold up our desks.
@sharding @dmoren I like where your head is at.
@danprovost @dmoren as you bump up the specs, it gets taller
@dmoren I’m more interested to see what the Mac mini could be when they remove the internal power supply and instead power it with something like a MacBook Pro power brick or by plugging it into something like the studio display.
@dmoren in the time it took you to make this toxic post you could’ve probably made an actual render of your own.
@bgregus Clearly you didn’t look at the picture with my awesome render!
@dmoren I now stop reading an article if they’ve included their own rendering. I don’t understand why they do that.
