what's causing this flare

the correct answer is who cares

@tvaziri the correct answer is not “who flares?”
@tvaziri It’s the hyperdrive causing the eyes of the person looking at the ship to melt.
@tvaziri It’s what’s known as a “yee-hoo” flare.
@tvaziri "Same thing that causes the music" to paraphrase Andrew Lesnie, I suppose.
@tvaziri Only because it is Star Wars. If it was Star Trek, it would matter…whoops

@tvaziri Hell yeah! Who cares is my response to the physics as well.

I do figure what caused the flare is a love for the source material of WWI dogfighting where diving out of the glare of the sun is exactly how you get the drop on a badass like Vader.

The Falcon moves at the Speed of Art.

@tvaziri I think a lot about a response by Andrew Lesnie, when asked where the lights come from in Lord of the Rings, where electricity notably does not exist: “Same place as the music.”
@tvaziri
🎵 Repeat to yourself, “It's just a show
🎵 I should really just relax.”
@tvaziri The "rule of cool" always works for me!
