soooooo here’s a wild thing.
apparently #taylorswift’s live debut of “Love Story” was in my beloved hometown of Montgomery, AL on May 23, 2008 (according to setlist.com).

maybe even a 4K disc version?? 😬 i don’t wanna rent, i wanna buy!
fun fact: i still haven’t fully revisited INTERSTELLAR because i know i’ll become a blubbering mess. i can (finally) listen to the score just fine, but i saw a clip, A CLIP, from the film and i had to catch my breath.
it’s been nine years.
THE MARVELS was a lot of fun! a little bit of clunkiness in some of the dialogue, but i’ll happily wave it off. the main cast trio work brilliantly together, with Ms. Marvel stealing the show.
and YES, the mid-credits scene is absolutely a game-changer and MASSIVE. if you care, try not to get spoiled.
not all Spatial Audio releases are the same. many are underwhelming, but some are *next level* good.
i will now add Dua Lipa's “Future Nostalgia" re-release (that now features Spatial Audio) to that list of “next-level good.” it improves on an already near-perfect pop album, but now throwing on my AirPods Max is dizzyingly (is that word??) immersive. whew.
or maybe it's confidence. or all of it. idk.
just found out there's a deluxe version (because of course) that includes “Bad Blood [ft. Kendrick Lamar]” and KL re-recorded his feature spot and it GOES HARDER than the original.
gah.
and maybe that's it.
#1989tv is now a track list that feels and sounds lived in and the album is all the better for it. it's nearly November and i have a feeling i know what's going to wind up at the top of my Apple Music Replay 2023 playlist.
