This is one of the first #jazz tunes I ever heard. It was recorded on a 78 with #buddydefranco’s ‘Good For Nothing Joe’ on the B side. ‘#Wow’:
#LennieTristano, p;
#LeeKonitz, as;
#WarneMarsh, ts;
#BillyBauer, g;
#ArnoldFishkin, b;
#DenzilBest, d.
‘Wow’ is usually played at a blistering tempo and involves a tricky 16th note chorus.

@allenmichie Just signed up. Thanks.
@allenmichie I use #AllAboutJazz a lot for on line reviews. One of my favourite sources.
@RalphBrooker Mine too. You should submit some reviews of your own!
@allenmichie ICYI Hi Allen. Currently listening to bassist Terje Gewelt’s Dusk till Dawn with a particular hero of mine John Surman. Erlend Slettevoll, keyboards. Thinking of reviewing. Only just got hold of it, wondering what Surman was up to! Slightly complicated by the fact that I’m currently practicing Lennie Tristano’s stuff on the piano.

@RalphBrooker I was always liked the #JohnSurman record "The Amazing Adventures of Simon Simon," a duet with #JackDeJohnette. Jack plays more synths than drums on that record. Great playing from both.

@allenmichie Same two (live) on ‘Invisible Nature’. Impossible to pin Surman down although some writers have tried to describe him in terms of a quintessentially ‘English’ player, composer. Which is silly.
@RalphBrooker Thank you! Looking forward to seeing more of your posts.
