I put up a little Good Omens thing as a Valentine's Day present to the world on Tumblr. https://at.tumblr.com/neil-gaiman/madam-i-said-i-do-believe-that-you-have/ihvw9jkbgryo
@neilhimself Delightful! Thank you for the gift. πŸ˜ˆπŸ˜‡
@neilhimself Thank you for the Valentines sneak peek 😍
Been (impatiently) waiting for Good Omens Season II 🎬 β°πŸ™πŸΏπŸ’šπŸ’›πŸ’™
@neilhimself lovely! Blandishments is such a top word too… thank you for reminding me of it!
@neilhimself a delightful gift, thank you!
@neilhimself Happy Valentine's Day!
@neilhimself that was lovely, thank you.
@neilhimself It was a delightful bedtime story, and the PS was heavenly, of course.
Thank you, and happy Valentine's Day to you too. Or, depending on your time zone, happy Day After Valentine's Day.
@neilhimself
Thank you Neil - what a kind thing to do! You've made my day πŸ˜ˆπŸ˜‡
@neilhimself happy birthday me! And the whole tribe got the present too. You are a wonder, sir. πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»
@neilhimself I was about to respond to this with 'It's a real good book, have you read it?' Then I realised who the poster is! Ha ha
@neilhimself of course, Tumblr's been banned in Pakistan. Again. Sigh.
@neilhimself thank you. Thank you pressed down, running over, and leaking out of that small hole in the seam that I forgot to fix.

@neilhimself Is Tumblr these days denying access if you say NO to their Analytics cookies or change settings at all, or did Neil just blow up another place by linking somewhere?

Or is it gone already, though it flashes text first off?

@ElysiaMacht opening the page with all javascript blocked worked fine
@ElysiaMacht
I got repelled by the full-screen cookie dialogue at first, but Firefox' reading mode shows only the text of the actual page, without having to dig for half an hour in order to figure out how to politely decline Tumblr's gracious offer of extracting whatever data they can from me and using it in whatever way they deem most profitable... seems they don't like to take "no" for an answer, legal requirements notwithstanding. No surprise there, either.
@neilhimself

@Mr_Teatime Yeah, I have to say that unless someone tells me where on Firefox reading mode or settings for disabling Javascript as above are, both remarks aren't that helpful to the average person clicking a mere Tumblr link.

Not particularly asking, just noting.

So Neil's loss, his content not being available to many I expect.

@ElysiaMacht
I expect that most people don't devote that much attention to the matter -- and I can't blame them because there's more other stuff in their lives that needs attention.

The reading mode icon in Firefox is on the right-hand end of the address field (stylised sheet of printed paper).
Not just useful for annoying cookie banners but also against too-busy web design.

@neilhimself Incredibly well written mini story.
