On the one hand, yes it'd be nice to do an updated Polybius on PSVR2.

On the other hand... is everyone who already bought it on PSVR1 going to expect to get the PSVR2 version as a free upgrade?

@llamasoft_ox
Whoever will talk about "JUST a port" or "JUST an upgrade" will receive a "Pappina Spaziale" from ME ! Obiviously whoever talks like that NEVER wrote a single line of code on a new gen console "from the metal". Some people "are too much used to think" that "tech someway JUST works and/or something/one makes it JUST work" .. it's the "JUST" that in reality is "MUCH BLOOD & TEARS" that "JUST" means THOUSANDS of man-hours/work/resources/expertise .. there's NO "JUST" ..
@gilesgoat @llamasoft_ox I've had clients before who literally thought that if something already existed as a development, it must just be instantaneously available to any other development. I recall being asked to develop a video chat app with on the fly translation, and the client thinking this would be a breeze because both video calls and translation tools exist now. No consideration for the actual implementation, or infrastructural requirements. Just "that bit already exists" 🤦‍♂️
@dev_ric @llamasoft_ox
It's a bit like to say "lizards exist" "flamethrowers exists" "airplanes exists" -> "make me a flying firebreathing dragon". I had a boss "a bit like that" with his INfamous sentence "Ma che ci vuole ?" ( i.e. "What does it takes ?" ) The same that wanted N MS Exchange Servers all over the places and did NOT consider for 1 minute about "did you check about licensing costs ?" .. NO .. we'll think about it later .. oh hum ..

@gilesgoat @llamasoft_ox ha. I've gotten out of many complex builds by pointing out there'd be license costs involved!

The problem with clients who think it's easy to just glue together existing mechanics, is that when you try to explain the difficulty and that it'll take x hours, at your hourly rate, they then switch to thinking you must be crap and that somebody else would do it easily. So you've to instead humour them and carefully steer the project in a more realistic direction.

@dev_ric @llamasoft_ox
There was sometime "a proactive culture" like "First let's do, then we'll think about it" that SOMETIME can work .. In that case he had the "idea" to use some MS something he had as "licensing" BUT .. it wasn't the correct one, in the end we stayed with 3 Exchange Servers and had to pay licensing in FULL at least he was very happy with that and made me take some trips to London to set all up 😄 In one of them I also met Flossie and Stinky_Ox so something good came out.
@gilesgoat @llamasoft_ox funny how things work out huh. I incorporated in 2013 because I was sick of working for others. 10 years on, we're still using contractors who I met and worked with while at other agencies, and working for clients who followed me from those agencies. We even do all of the dev and server admin for my last employer. My company only exists because I didn't want to work for other agencies any more, but is only able to exist because I worked for those agencies! #experiences
