To whoever at Apple added this "Show Photo in Library" option to the Lock Screen, you have my heart felt thanks.

I love the new photo shuffle feature, which has an uncanny ability to find excellent photos from within my massive photo library...but previously you couldn't actually find the photos it was surfacing for you. 🙏🏻

@_Davidsmith is that in a beta? I can’t find how to do that on iOS 16.3. I too have wanted that feature. (Thanks for alerting us)

It’s available when you’re editing/previewing the Photo Shuffle Lock Screen. Just tap to cycle through pictures and use the three dot menu.

@_Davidsmith I never used the new features because they were so frustrating to use. On launch, you had to replace BOTH your locked screen image AND your wallpaper… unless you quit the process like I did. Convert the screen you already had? NOPE! Start over, try to find that photo! Maybe I'll try it now!

@_Davidsmith The timing on this post. I told my wife this morning I wished this was a feature as a really great photo of one of our dogs surfaced on my Lock Screen.

@_Davidsmith the photos are often even ones I haven’t “liked” in my library, and I love when it catches great ones of my kids! Which I then need to “like” or favorite or whatever.
