For months I've been sharing stories of trailblazers who have made game changing contributions, but weren't widely acknowledged. "History" after all, hasn't exactly celebrated people equally.

Today I went back & tagged each post

➡️ #HistoryRemix ⬅️

so you can find them together on #Mastodon.

I hope that everyone can see remarkable people who look like them - pioneers, scientists, writers, musicians, poets, activists and inventors - and recognize all of us are capable of great achievements.

@Sheril Historians are still doing the great man theory which they themselves dismissed as bunk history.

@Sheril This is why I'm not a big fan of naming scientific theories/technologies by the name of their founder/inventor, because if we look back at history we'll realize that too many people have directly or indirectly contributed to the creation of said theory/technology. We're all standing on the shoulders of great people who came before us and we should be grateful for the knowledge they passed onto us.
@Sheril these are brilliant, thanks!
@Sheril It must be more difficult to come along in western culture if you're not arrogant.
