The Anatolian faults, at the juncture of 3 tectonic plates, seem to rip in a major fashion about every half century.
Perhaps Turkey is not a country to build a high rise in.
The 60-70's had two major quakes, each killing thousands. This one included Incirlik Air Base (Adana), one of our stops in USAF air-evac.

Fascinating is how the shift shows itself so on spot. And it will require some serious updates in historicised Geo databases, this even looks like land as property will require updates.
