This day in history. 1846. Mormon leader Brigham Young led his followers into the west where a man was free to believe any bogus nutbaggery he so chose.
@jimmerthatisall I spit my coffee out! Thank you for the wonderful morning laugh! I am sure I will chuckle all day! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

And 10 years later those same nutbags committed the Mountain Meadows Massacre

@jimmerthatisall @PsychTink This is only partly true. Men were only able to believe what Brigham wanted them to believe, and those who decided it wasnโ€™t for them were hunted down and murdered. A lot of the women were trafficked into Utah from England to be wives, with no freedom whatsoever. In a theocracy, youโ€™re only allowed to believe the bogus nutbaggery the leader believes.

(Yeah, Iโ€™m that person with somber facts to ruin an otherwise good joke.)

@jimmerthatisall
Mormonism is the logical middle-ground between old timey Christianity and Scientology's volcano gods.
@jimmerthatisall Thatโ€™s it! Outer Darkness for you!
