Patterns in slow-motion splashes
@cmconseils Yet symmetry is so perfect I suspect a mirrored image?
@Divorytaur @cmconseils Upper half is clearly mirroroed. Still very satisfying to watch :)
@chrismarquardt @Divorytaur @cmconseils thank you for pointing that out! Knowing that doesn’t take away from the beauty of the video, though
@cmconseils love it!
What equipment did you use?
@cmconseils I’m a just gonna watch this over and over
@cmconseils @antonyjohnston mesmerizing. There needs to be a YouTube channel for this with some mellow music
@cmconseils
Computer simulation. The world is more chaotic than that.
@cmconseils je suis complètement subjuguée depuis que tu l’as posté
@cmconseils Simulated or not, nice anyway!
Anybody else thinking about the description of the ocean's structures in Solaris by S.Lem?
@cmconseils I did have plans for today.Not any more.I’m watching this.All day.
@cmconseils Omg these are absolutely amazing. I had no idea that’s what a splash looks like. Wow!
@cmconseils This might be one of the coolest things ever.
@cmconseils Why is this so cool and relaxing...
@cmconseils I’d love to know what they use for the liquid. It seems more viscous than just water, I presume they’ve done a lot of work getting the viscosity just right for these kinds of patterns.
@cmconseils wow this is one of the best things I’ve never known about until today ❣️more please 🤩
@cmconseils Do you know who created this?

@cmconseils They're at least partly faked, unfortunately, with symmetry added.

@jducoeur

@cmconseils I'm listening to shpongle, and this came up and just works beautifully with the music :D
@cmconseils way cooler when the splashes are translated into English
@cmconseils this is a particular genre of slow motion videography that I never get tired of.
