He was never cleared - there was no investigation. Ford asked for the Commissioner's opinion of his stag & dough plan, based only on Ford's description of it.

ON-NDP leader Marit Stiles is now filing a formal complaint with the Integrity office, which will require an actual investigation and a report accounting for all relevant facts.

This story could still come out right.

@ChristyCeeCK At this point, it feels like unless there was a photo of Ford accepting a giant cheque with "corruption" written in the memo line and a sworn affidavit from him admitting to it, the "integrity" commissioner won't even consider glancing at it.

If the laws are so lax that all you have to do to circumvent them is have the money go to a family member instead, then the laws are pointless.
