Iowa States Senator Jason Schultz (R-Schleswig) has crafted legislation that would allow 14yo children to work in retail, food service, cleaning, and kitchen settings. 15yos could also perform light assembly work with a waiver. Businesses employing children in certain programmes would be exempt from civil liability penalties.
