OMG! This shelf cloud was a real monster, to capture such a beast of nature is true #adrenaline.

Hekelingen, The Netherlands

Love it? Boost it πŸ“£

@amanda van Hekelingen is nooit meer iets vernomen…
@arghsplutt πŸ˜‚ opgegeten door het monster
@amanda
Before moving to The Netherlands I would have mistaken the cycle path for a road πŸ˜€
@Lifeinmymind it's indeed a cycling pathπŸ˜…
@amanda bellissima foto, complimenti
@amanda idk why but I feel so much fear of thinking to be there, in the middle , exactly below of it
@ncalle I can imagine that... it's really impressive to see this coming at you....
@amanda that looks absolutely terrifying and beautiful simultaneously
@elkannixed true! through my camera, I only saw its beauty but at the same time I felt the power of the outflow
@amanda Amazing shot!πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘πŸ‘
@amanda something about the light and the curved lines make the house in the foreground look like it's a painting. Beautiful!
@Danielbu thanks, I agree. I got some more comments about it, the light was very specific that night and it made everything lit up, have you seen the other pictures of the shelf cloud I shared? You can see the magic of the light there aswell. Some reminded it of a certain painter style (Willink)
@amanda
I misread that "Shelfclound" and for a moment thought it was Sheffield...
@amanda Extraordinary photo! Congratulations.
@CapeBretonGent wow, thanks! πŸ‘Œβš‘οΈ
@amanda incredible shot! Well done ❀
@amanda
I love those conditions that look like the scene was badly pasted together from separate photos with completely different lighting -- but they're real
@Mr_Teatime thank you! This is one shot, no composition... see also the other pictures on my timeline from the same shelf cloud... I will share some more pictures today
@amanda
I wasn't doubting that! Most actual montages look less obvious than this :)
@Mr_Teatime πŸ₯° thanks... and yes, I agree... I don't like composites and when you do, you should mention that with the photo
@amanda Wow. Thank you for sharing this.
@raywilton thank you for your appreciation, stay tuned for more! Have a great Sunday
@amanda #ALT4you can someone more awake than me describe this cloud formation as alt text? It’s so cool
@rach @amanda it's like a sheet of cotton (the one use for the make up remover ) and it's like someone lifted it and it's currently setting down on Hat appear to be a big house and a shed-house or garage two. The houses are surrounded by grass and a road on the left of the photo. The road seems like it's gonna guide you in the cotton cloud. Just below the cotton cloud the sky is navy blue. It's kind of menacing.
@Hysope @rach wow, that's a great visual description of the picture, I just love it! Thanks!
@Hysope @amanda I knew someone would come through on this - I feel like I’m rubbish at writing visual descriptions!
@rach @amanda thanks ! I was happy to help 😁
@rach I will come back to that request πŸ‘Œ
@amanda Wow. Very impressive!
@backdatt absolutely, don't forget this quickly..!
@amanda Heavens over the Netherlands could be so amazing wonderful! Thank you
@RuStelz yes, they are! Although shelf clouds at daylight are kind of rare... so extra special to capture it
@amanda i love it, but i won't boost it without alt text that actually describes the photo. :(
@adriftinaotearoa i am sorry, posted this pic when I was on Mastodon for a few days and did not understand the alt text too well...not sure if I can update the text, let me try...
@adriftinaotearoa aha, so you are not able to edit the alt text... I added the picture again to write a new alt text :)
@amanda you rock - thank you!
