Apple has informed that Deep Green will be removed from the App Store, if it isn’t updated and approved within 90 days…
Now, the current version is essentially built on the iPhoneOS 2 and 3 SDKs, more than a decade ago, and getting it to compile, let alone updating it to present iOS and App Store requirements will take forever and is not a good use of my time…
Guess that sets a deadline for version 2!
As a consequence, the feature set will be cut tight, as if it weren’t already, which still leaves me under heavy pressure.
The Deep Green 2 release is hereby aptly named “Reborn”.
@deepgreen This is one of the worst and most hamful things that Apple is doing right now 😕
Apps that are perfectly fine, just not updated often enough (sometimes there's really no reason! especially with games) - are removed from the store because they're not built with the recent SDK/engine.
For most of them it's simply not worthy or straight impossible to do in feasible time 🤷♂️
