In upsides of being stuck in my room for four days;

- New leaf day for my Monstera! That’s number four since we were reunited in september!
- New leaf day for my ficus tineke! Which has grown a foot since June, when I bought it for my birthday
- almost double new leaf day for my swiss cheese vine! Which makes it 4 and 3 new leaves on the vines respectively since Christmas
- Chain of Hearts growth spurt! Buddy has reached the dang floor, it’s taller than I am!!

While I'm looking forward to going touring again and whatever new adventures await me, I'm also going to miss the quiet bits of joy like this - I've enjoyed muttering at my plants every day and telling them they're good, I've loved getting to know the neighbourhood cats and have them mostly tolerate my bullshit, I'm going to miss being able to buy a giant stupid jar of mayo because I'll definitely be around to eat all of it before it goes weird (still can't get through enough cheese though 😂 )

My golden pothos, however, is very grumpy and I think I'm going to lose it so I'm going to take the top leaf node and see if I can get it to root and start again.

I think it's not had enough humidity during this cold, wet summer.
Which feels ridiculous but also kinda makes sense.
I though I'd over-watered it but the soil is dry and the roots I can see are happy enough.

Who knows
