What would you say if a state in Germany today were to outlaw the teaching of any critical reading of history, suppress inquiry into structural/systemic antisemitism, and ban books by the most prominent Jewish intellectuals?
The equivalent is happening in Florida.

And why does this keep happening? Well, it’s kind of like how there’s never been and never will be a toilet with any kind of “unclog” mechanism: the people in charge of making toilets are in league with the people who unclog them.
