Early on the morning of February 18, 2017, staff of then Human Services minister Alan Tudge saw the front page of The Saturday Paper, dedicated to a story about the death of Rhys Cauzzo, who killed himself after being hounded by Centrelink debt collectors. They immediately went on the offensive.

@stilgherrian two things that initially confused me about this toot. First, I hadn’t known Cow Welfare was a contentious issue. Second I wondered why you would describe Tudge et al as “shat cunts” when they are in fact, still currently persons of shitcuntery, and likely to remain so. #LanguageIsHard

@Unixbigot Yeah *every* time I see “cow” the very I take a while to get the meaning. But that said, you do need to take care of your cows. They’re valuable.
