@QasimRashid Are you expecting the hypocrisy to sting them? their shame to regulate their behaviour? If it was *ever* about antisemitism I could understand your indignation. It's not. It never was. When a logical argument is made this way you accept the tacit implications of their argument: that they argue in good faith. They don't.

@QasimRashid That's because Republicans want Jews like myself to buy that "supporting Israel" is the same as supporting American Jews when it isn't.

Really, supporting Israel has nothing to do with Jews. It's all about appeasing evangelicals who think that Step 1 of Jesus returning is Israel being run by Jews. Step 2 is a massive attack on Israel so the evangelicals work against peace with things like supporting the settlers and hard right Israeli politicians.

@QasimRashid You're overstating Omar's apologies for her *repeated* tendency towards antisemitic tropes, ideas and support.
But the GOP doesn't care about Jews; they're using us as props for their own ends. Different ends than Omar's, but both are using us.
And guess what, we lose either way. But that's the way the systems have worked from some 2000 years. They're so deeply embedded I doubt they'll ever change.

Moreover, being selective about antisemitism, saying that it's a problem on the right, or on the left is using hate against Jews as a political weapon, rather than being about social justice only serves to give cover to prejudice, bigotry and hatred.
