me: I don’t know
teacher: correct! how about “ambivalent”?
me: *shrug*
teacher: yes! how about “nihilistic”?
me: what difference does any of this make?
teacher: amazing

@rebrafsim What's the difference between ignorance and apathy?
I don't know, and I don't care.
@rebrafsim
Me (but about 30 years younger): Dad, what does it mean in German "noch einmal"?
Dad: once again
Me: (louder) "noch einmal!"
Dad: once again
Me: ROFL 😁

That was accidental but i also recalled this old joke:
- what does "rien" mean in French?
- nothing
- impossible!! It has to mean something!
Germans, seeing a transom window in France: »Was ist das?«
The French: »Oh, that’s what that thing is called!«
This is pretty much the only reason I made it through high school.
@rebrafsim What's the difference between a pedant and a kleptomaniac?
One takes things literally, the other takes things... literally.
@rebrafsim very nice! 🙂
(though for agnostic I’d have used "how could I know?"
Reminds me of the time when I forgot what the insertion sort algorithm was on a Computer Science test, so I just generically described sorting and it turned out that I accidentally described it correctly. #compsci #cs #computerscience https://universeodon.com/@rebrafsim/109790415613276164
