Had hoped to be woken up by the power coming back on, but no such luck. Love living in a state that can't keep the lights on whenever it gets a bit chilly. #atx #austin

Well there's still no power in our neighborhood so we've decamped to a hotel for the night. Nice to have hot water, electricity and the wifis and very aware that we're lucky to be able to do so. Fingers crossed it'll be back tomorrow. #atx #austin

@mcchessers But Abbott assured us the grid winterization improvements took place.

Perhaps we should just build a southern border wall instead of worrying about pesky, reliable energy.

@mcchessers oh no! We have power in north ATX. Seems like some neighborhoods are losing power because of trees falling. I hope it’s restored soon. Hang in there!

@nateplusplus Thanks. We're North too. Thought we were lucky and got away with it when lots of my colleagues had outages during the day, but no.
