A whole new #adhd tax today. Turns out I have had Audible for 6 months and the payment has been silently going from my unused "for a rainy day" account.

Only reason I noticed was Amazon sending me a whine as the account ran dry. Wee...

So used two of the credits to buy Marx's Capital (what a mindtwist to get these from Bezosville), one for Aubrey Gordons new book & am looking for recommendatios for the rest as I can't cancel this s*it without losing the credits.

@dianor hate audible with a passion! I signed my #ADHD son up hoping he’d get into audio books. Apparently he tried to use a dodgy code and they “locked the account” so when we tried to cancel we couldn’t because “the account is locked”. I literally had to change my credit card number 😤 AND we can’t get into his account to use the credits 🤬

I too am quite sure I tried to cancel/did cancel this after my intial trial period and using a few credits. Wondering if I have somehow accidentally reactivated it when I ordered some ffp2 masks from Amazon DE and took the 30 day Prime bait for free delivery or with some Amazon Video bait as I took that for The Rings of Power and had it all the way to the end of Peripheral. Who knows.

There is no tracking of receipts and payment dates either on the profile.
