I developed a large vocabulary to avoid words I couldn't spell.
That's a good technique for words hard to pronounce when speaking foreign languages. For example DEVILISH French: Jaune/jeune, dessous/dessus ... πŸ€ͺπŸ₯–πŸ₯πŸ‡«πŸ‡·
@CrazyMyra
But you can type out goruduwjehrht and Google will be like
Did you mean the great Gatsby
@CrazyMyra I have grown so reliant on spell checker, that i cannot spell anything anymore. I am the same way with phone numbers. I used to have dozens committed to memory, now I only need to remember how to use my phone (which gets increasingly harder with each passing year and every new version of Android.)πŸ˜† 😩
@elliott I can still remember my landline number from 30 years ago, but none of the ones since then
@CrazyMyra I laugh because you are sharing my truth, as well. Growing older is an adventure I am tickled to laugh about.

@CrazyMyra I remember a school report were I defaulted to "medical centre" cause I could remember how to spell "hospital" pre internet and dictionaries are for nerds.
