#PSA: *Do not expose confidential information online unencrypted. *

Regardless of any good or bad characterization of the owner or management of a privately owned business or corporation, realize such entities are only obligated by 1) law and 2) contract.

Their house; their rules.

They are otherwise free to do anything else—and always have been. This means not keeping anything private if they decide to at some point. I'm referring not just to Twitter, but Facebook, all social media... *This is true for all companies, *regardless of their reputations. Management changes. Money is involved.

The situation is only more obvious now when, for example, a CEO works against his own financial interests, which governs most people who worry about bankruptcy.

*Simply do not expose confidential information online unencrypted, *even on this service.

@sfwrtr tis true. People need to be careful with their info cuz these corps sure won't. They sell info to the highest bidder, it's been like that since folks figured they could make a monopoly out of it. We really need policies that really gives people genuine cybersecurity

@mercurythedragon While I agree with the need for policy and laws to protect privacy, there is a good reason why male birth control pills haven't taken off, and why no woman would trust such a product. Not taking care of yourself could get you really....

[Sorry. Couldn't help myself... -RS]
