That doesn’t mean treating them like they’re the same as you, but understanding their needs and acting accordingly. Some people need a reality check, not kindness. If I’m being an a-hole, I want someone to tell me.
And I’d feel weird if people started being kind to me. I just want everyone to enjoy themselves. But if someone needs kindness, giving it to them is the easiest thing to do.

I agree with most of what you've said here. However, I don't see "God" the way you describe "Him".
I see "God" as the ever constant Energy Source that fuels the Universe. I see evidence of "God" in a beautiful sunset, a tree, swaying in the breeze. In the loving support of a good friend.
I've never believed the bearded man in the clouds. THAT is used solely for control via fear.

Patrick V. 🇧🇪🇹🇭@SpockResists it has always baffled me why religious people think that you can’t be a good person without belief in a higher being, that you can’t have a moral compass without some book or arbitrary list of rules guiding you (especially if the first 5 of those rules are of a narcissistic nature)
I firmly believe that people are innately good, and that circumstances, life, misfortune, and influence of others drive them to stray from it.
