Got a much needed ride in today. All that stress just melts away on a mountain bike. 😊

#mtb

@mark what stress?
@paul @mark I think you need a stress ball

@paul @mark

Hey, I think it's really worth pointing out to both you guys, that the vast majority of the community is astounded and grateful at how quickly you've made Ivory available to us!

So if you need to take some time for yourself, only idiots would begrudge you for it - take care of your mental health, don't overdo it!

@dailygrail @mark Coding is the most relaxing part of my day.
@paul @dailygrail except when it’s one of my new designs and I start talking about springs or vibrancy. 🙃
@paul I didn’t realise until I bought a Watch my heart rate drops when I’m coding

@paul @dailygrail @mark

if handling the influx of users and demands for features etc etc isnt the stressful part of your day, what is? i’m curious 😳

@torstein we aren’t stressed about ivory. We are still dealing with all the damage done by Elon Musk and unfortunately it’s not going to be over yet.
@mark ah yeah, with all the prepaid yearly subscriptions and people requesting refunds… 😔 hopefully it’ll be over soon and your fans won’t make requests out of solidarity to indie development
@torstein @mark Excited to hear how the new subscription numbers for #Ivory are looking in comparison to Tapbots if you guys want to share an indication in time. 🙂
@dailygrail @paul @mark Adding to this: Ivory is making me enjoy Mastodon so much more than before. Thanks!

@dailygrail @paul @mark

no breaks, only code!! /s

do you guys go mountain biking together, or what does Paul do to relieve stress?

@paul @mark from a user perspective the ivory app rocks. Don’t stress dudes, you’re doing fine. 👍🏼
@paul @mark if you both had Stress because of the release of @ivory - I’m sorry for that and I hope it gets better. but you did great! Love the app!
@redbeed not that at all. There’s still things we have to deal with because of Elon Musk.
@mark oh True, complete forgot that. Hope you figure it out.
@mark Yeah but where’s the basket for the dog? lol 🚵🏻‍♂️🐾💕
@DianneLittle he would not survive one of my rides. 😅
@mark 😊 No, I’m sure he wouldn’t. lol
@mark and unlike other cycling IMO is a full body workout! :)
@mark Curious where you find cool trails in North Texas.
@breadfan35 there’s a lot! But no long climbs and long descents. Lots of technical features though. There’s a bike park with lift access near Austin as well. We make do with what we have. 🙂 And Bentonville is 5 hours away.
@mark pictures never due those hills and rocks justice.
@mark hey I know you’re not busy or anything so can I commission you to do a custom app icon for CARROT?
@brianmueller could be fun! But yea maybe check back in the spring/summer? Would be honored as I love Carrot Weather. 😁
@mark @brianmueller Carrotbot would be my default app icon immediately.
@mark @brianmueller Not gonna lie, a Carrot and Ivory crossover would be awesome.
@brianmueller that’s the snark content I’m here for 😂
@brianmueller @mark did I just witness history in the making?
@mark 10/10 on the bike paint job 🙌 And… version 1.0 shipped this is a major accomplishment you can be proud of. Ride your bike and have fun 😀
@mark is that a revel ranger?? and a coil shock?!?
@datachomp yup! It totally doesn’t belong in such a short travel bike, but I love it! 😁
@mark pretty bike! 😍
@spangborn thanks! You would know! 😁
@mark Is that a fidlock bottle you’re running? Curious as to how well those stay out on the MTB
@spangborn yea. They stay on great. The biggest negative is they rattle like crazy when things get rough. Just the nature of the mounting point being right in the middle of a bottle and it all being plastic. So if you hate noise on your bike you will not like the fidlocks. I’m stuck with it because it’s low profile and the coil shock takes up a lot of space.
@mark Makes sense. That would probably drive me nuts. I’ve re-packed my SWAT box on my Epic just so it doesn’t rattle 😂
@spangborn cool bike! I’ve always wanted a bike with a swat box. So much room for snacks. 😅
@mark I wish it was embedded in the downtube, but this bike kind of magically landed in my lap so I can’t complain
@mark nice bike! What shock is that?
@tyku thanks! It’s a Push Industries elevensix. On a 120/115 travel bike. 😁 Added a bit of weight to what was a fairly light bike, but it tracks the ground so well and just gives me the confidence to fly through some of the chattery terrain because of the extra traction.
@mark nice! Aggressive short travel bikes are so fun to ride
@mark Nice bike. I knew there was a reason I liked Tapbots.
@HowAboutStefan Thanks! Bikes are the best. 🙂
@mark Yes they are. Got a good one in today myself. Happy weekend and huge thanks for @ivory
@HowAboutStefan thanks! Cool rock roll! I wish we had them here. So fun to see all these mountain bikers Mastodon. 🙂 Going to have to start getting an #mtb hashtag populated and active soon. Can’t wait until we get our hashtag features out. 😅
@mark I’m in! And if you ever pass through Tucson, look me up. We’ll hit up some trails.
@mark same happens to me when I jump on my Harley and go for a spin
@mark I know what you mean, and certainly well deserved. Those trails look amazing.
@mark Good for you Mark, glad you got out on the bike - makes all the difference I’m sure 🚵‍♂️
@mark Yes, it’s amazing what being active outside in nature can do for your body & mind.
@mark no regrets selling the S2k?
@iest all the regrets in the world. 😅 one of the biggest mistakes I’ve made. But in the end, it’s just a thing. I’ll survive. Haha.
