You have to understand that Twitter only functions by having people to attack. You sticking around there to "fight the good fight" is GIVING THEM EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANT. They WANT YOU THERE, FIGHTING. You're not changing a damn thing. You're playing a roll they want you to play for their amusement.

I love having knockdown dragout fights with fascists though, I do it for me, I don't care what they think about it.
@fraying As if staying to play a game where there other side provides both the board, pieces *and* the rules (eg. boosting / deboosting posts, possible impersonation, shadow-banning, ...) has any other possible outcome than to help legitimize / normalize what happens there and get hurt one way or the other.
Unlike the gladiators of old, we can just leave.

I’ll answer this straight, from my perspective.
They are the “alt”-right that has become the mainstream right. This seems to include Elon if his recent statements are to be taken seriously. It also obviously includes some outright fascists who have used the tactic of stoking fights from the beginning of fascism.
They are the people that would have gone to Truth Social, but there were no libs to stick it to there.
