I shot this photo of an American white pelican here in far Northern California. It was 12F at sunrise and the mist rising off the water created an ethereal atmosphere. #photography #wildlifephotography #birds #birdphotography
wow
@GoldenSpiralBot thank you very much for this! I composed this in camera and it is uncropped. I got other shots but the “geometry” of this one struck and is one of the reasons I posted it. It is interesting now to see how the composition worked for me! Very cool observation❤️
@garynordell that is an excellent photo. If you had posted it and not given the back story, I would have automatically supposed it was a really well done painting.
@hermitary Thank you so much, Gerry:) I would say that I strive for a “painterly” quality in my wildlife photographs through a combination of lighting and exposure. This image is fairly true to the RAW image with some fine tuning. Thank again for the comments!!
@garynordell That’s a *photo*?? Wow. 😲
@tylermumford thank you Tyler! I do strive for a painterly quality in my wildlife photos. The quality of the photo is result of the setting, the ambient light and exposure. It is minimally edited in Lightroom and I don’t use Photoshop. Thank again!!🙏
