If I had a family crest, its latin motto would be "My candor is appreciated". I have candor for days.
worst autism diagnosis wake-up call was the day I learned hearing "I appreciate your candor" was usually not, in fact, an expression of appreciation. whoopsers.
@Krenshar_posts it’s like my mother-in-law whenever she calls something about me “interesting”. (Gah I can’t even type it without scrunching the bridge of my nose.)
@Krenshar_posts oh…. Ooops ?
@turbles
I do think I've met people who do appreciate my candor who have said that to me. I think those are other autistic people.... I think everyone else says it as a warning........
@Krenshar_posts re-examining my entire career lol
@turbles
I was doing some MATH.
@Krenshar_posts it is efficient!!!! How can you make sure things are optimal without frank feedback!!!
@ouinne it's so efficient!!!! why are we fucking around!!!!!!!!
@Krenshar_posts it baffles me that being “here are the facts!” gets a bunch of static even when you’re not rude! ma’am we can talk about the reality of the situation or we can waste everyone’s time talking around the barn!!! Life is too short!!!
@ouinne it's not a judgement! Especially when we are operating under capitalism! capitalism is a fuck!!!!
@Krenshar_posts we just want things tidy!!! 😭
