If I had a family crest, its latin motto would be "My candor is appreciated". I have candor for days.
worst autism diagnosis wake-up call was the day I learned hearing "I appreciate your candor" was usually not, in fact, an expression of appreciation. whoopsers.

I do think I've met people who do appreciate my candor who have said that to me. I think those are other autistic people.... I think everyone else says it as a warning........
