Accidental Tech Podcast: ATP Movie Club: The Hunt for Red October

Three nerds discussing tech, Apple, programming, and loosely related matters.

@atpfm aluminum foil, wrapped loosely over a standard large saucepan, with a few vent slits stabbed into it with a dinner knife. Oil and kernels in the pan. Apply heat. Shake the pan around during the popping phase to avoid burning (works best w/ gas stove). When popping slows to <1/sec, remove from heat, remove foil, dump into bowl(s) of choice. Season to taste.

“Popcorn maker.” Psh! Alton Brown would be ashamed of such a unitasker!

@atpfm I must clarify: “wrapped loosely” means the foil is not stretched tightly across the top, so that it can bulge to accommodate the expansion of the kernels. It is, however, shaped tightly around the outside so that it doesn’t blow off mid-pop.
