@davidrevoy have you looked into split keyboards? you could position one half to the left and one to the right of the drawing board.

About device for shortcuts, thanks for your link. I have my eyes on the https://www.tindie.com/products/dekuNukem/duckypad-do-it-all-mechanical-macropad/ , it's on my precious directory of optional hardware I would like to try as soon as I have a bit of extra money for it. I hope somewhere-somewhere this year. 😊
