Sometimes, I think the random cracks in my car's paint are an allegory for cracks in my sanity that I'm too stupid to fully grasp.

Or my car is just a piece of crap.

@JaggedAuthor I had a 1995 Nissan Sentra that ALL the paint slowly fell off. It was white and the undercoat was grey so it looked ridiculous. At the time I worked in Johns Hopkins geriatric department doing house calls. My boss used to wonder why all the old people would call up and tell him to give me a raise. The oldies were horrified by my old banger. I bought it in 2005 and had some of the best adventures in that car. I drove it across the USA 4 times! It eventually died in 2010.
@CooksBooksandFoodieLooks With this car, falling paint is a semi-common issue - especially with this model and this color. Unfortunately, the company (which is currently dealing with a class action lawsuit about the same issue on some of its trucks) has consistently refused to take any responsibility. It is undeniably the worst customer service situation I've ever been in.
@JaggedAuthor Oh dear, that’s annoying if it is new!! So frustrating! With mine, it was second hand so you figure such things might happen. Especially as it moved to New Mexico, which is known for being terrible on car paint with the extreme dryness.
@CooksBooksandFoodieLooks It's not super-new, but it's a certified pre-owned vehicle that's not old enough to be having paint issues.
