I believe itโ€™s important to teach the kids to respect the views of other people, no matter how wrong those people obviously are.

@gupton68
I believe views of other people are merely ideas and shouldn't automatically be respected.

Or else you'd have to respect the views of ISIS, the KKK, Westboro Baptist Church, etc.

Do you respect the "views" of the genocidal Putin?

People should be respected. Ideas can be debated and even ridiculed.

@gupton68 I have always believed this as well, however that should never hinder you from pointing out what is right when people are mistaken. Often those mistakes lead them to be abusive of others. Sometimes, they get abusive for no other reason than they aren't getting their wishes granted.
@gupton68 Itโ€™s also critical to teach them a scathing sense of sarcasm!
@Amishsupermodel absolutely, and finally someone who recognises sarcasm who he sees it ๐Ÿ™Œ ๐Ÿ˜‚
@gupton68 everyone is entitled to be wrong inside their own houseโ€ฆ
@gupton68 I believe you've never spoken to a mod on Reddit... On a serious note. Respecting the opinions of the sociopathic, resource hoarding, ruling class just makes you a bootlicker not a respectful person.
