While you might be able to bully a firm that doesn't want bad publicity, a judge who already sanctioned you is not the kind of person you want to test further. They can ramp up sanctions dramatically for non-payment.

There is, however, a system of elite impunity that protects the likes of Donald Trump no matter what, and that's the thing that's pertinent to any decision he makes or doesn't bother to make here.
