#today I went to the garden centre. Bought a few hyacinths, a euphorbia shrub, an ornamental kale and some treats for the birds.
This is something I would not have expected when I was a kid, that one day I would not just choose to go to the garden centre, but very much enjoy it.
It's a lovely garden centre, mind you. Not the kind with fancy overpriced household stuff. Just some plants and whatnot on stone terraces, overlooking the valley.
my heart always sighs when I see a garden centre develop, what I call a tat centre' I want to see plants and plant related things. No one grows stuff anymore. It feels like the passion has gone out of the industry.
When I started my working life I orked in a tree and shrub nursery. So lovely to propagate and grow stuff. Hard work mind.
