So UPDATE on that stove situation? Antonio the service dude CAME THROUGH. He found me a brand-new full-size stove and there’s even a 5th burner for keeping things warm!

This is SO rare as a renter. What a glorious turn of events! And how fantastic for such an avid bread baker, like me. Huzzah!

My karma is on-point, it seems. Happy days!

And the glass is clean so I can take pictures of bread baking. 😂

@cnovak yeah — I think, after the third appliance repair service call, they decided repairing that one isn’t worth it. But I thought I’d get a used one or a smaller new one. Full size — wicked. It’s part of why I rented here, full size appliances, so a super-happy camper. Apartment-sized stoves can be 8-10” narrower!

@thespoonless yeah, they are pretty good. Bought the building in the first year that I moved here and got some rude surprises about condition. The guy dpwnstairs from me had a mystery leak the previous landlord “couldn’t find” for going on 5 years. These guys found it on the second visit — a pinhole in my heater. Repaired that, pulled up my floor, replaced the floor, and renovated the damaged area in his place and installed new carpet. Pretty decent.
