Dreamed that Costco quietly launched a streaming network that had like every show and movie plus a bunch of surprisingly good Kirkland Signature original programming
@prehensile you have to subscribe in three year increments.
@prehensile And now it’s a dream of mine.
@prehensile
Were most of the Kirkland shows organic?
@prehensile This is simultaneously hilarious and plausible.
@prehensile Big City Lawyer home for the holidays reaches for a hotdog and touches the outstretched hand of the lumberjack/part time costco worker
@prehensile Okay, you made me laugh out loud with that. Thank you. I do enjoy a lot of surprisingly good Kirkland Signature products.
@prehensile the series are well written and the production values are good but each episode is three hours long.
@prehensile It would be a surprisingly small catalog compared to Netflix or Disney+, but it would have something great in every single genre.
@prehensile every episode is actually 3 regular-length episodes in a pack with convenient carrying handles.
@prehensile
All the movies are the extended director's cut. Especially the Peter Jackson ones.
@prehensile The good news is that you get Free Trial Saturdays!
@prehensile Not implausible at all. I could see it happening.
@prehensile I’d DVR the Rotisserie Channel for sure.
@prehensile $1.50 and a free soda? I'm in!
@prehensile free with membership, specializes in 80s -90s VHS classics, you got yourself a stew going.
@prehensile
Maybe they can buy the Commanders so that tickets would be available to average humans.
@prehensile the true timeline that was stolen from us
@prehensile Nature documentaries that come in 12-episode packs and are branded by region. So it's like Yukon! Sierra Madre!
@prehensile I had a similar dream but about Star Alliance, it was outstanding
@prehensile the best part is, the Kirkland Signature original programming is actually made by Duracell.
@prehensile all shows only come in complete sets with every season already done

@prehensile Fantastic idea, home brand TV shows.

I hear Thursday is a hit show right now.

@prehensile the catch is you will have to watch shows in pack of two or three episodes.

Or each episode will last like 6 hours, each. 🤣

@prehensile The Whitcher starring Hank Clavicle as Gerald of Riverside

Tim Lancy’s Jim Rhino starring Jim Halpert

The Devil Wears Nike starring Mary Stripe and Annie Dothaway

@prehensile Yes, but the thing about the #KirklandSignature original programming is that every movie is at least 6 hours long. I mean, it’s a really good deal, but sometimes just feels like too much.
@prehensile Now I'm going to have a nightmare about Wal-Mart bringing its own streaming service in response -- all reality shows, all based around the misadventures of the typical Wal-Mart customer.
@prehensile Yeah but the Kirkland Channel would only have stuff at random times, so you'd have to watch ALL THE TIME to make sure you got to see the things you wanted to see.
@prehensile The White Lotus, but it's set in a Costco Travel resort package in Scottsdale
