Anil DashI’ve always liked woodworking and a lot of home repair stuff, having grown up doing a lot of that kind of work, and starting my career working in construction. And there’s a ton of great content on these topics on YouTube, etc. these days. But I always cringe when looking any deeper at the creators behind the content because they’re overwhelmingly from a narrow cultural slice and very frequently casually toss off dismissal or even hate towards people I love & care about.
Casual Observer@anildash I was a huge This Old House fan back in the day, and I came to the realization that I enjoyed the shows which got them out of the New England environment. When they went into areas like New Orleans where they were working with culturally diverse homeowners and vendors, the show seemed less niche and more accessible.
