@jeporcher @JimMahler @SabinaKnight @bryankam So for me, my style of anarchism is the belief that it is impossible for humans to be decent while there exists hierarchy. Hierarchy in my system is a situation in which any one individual has more liberty and power than another person, who therefore has less. So, this can be anything from capitalist oppression (the capitalist vs the worker) to the patriarchy (men vs women/etc.) to murder (murderer vs victim).
@sinnnusssishii @jeporcher @JimMahler @SabinaKnight @bryankam has any society of any size ever not had hierarchy?
@MattFerrel @sinnnusssishii @jeporcher @SabinaKnight @bryankam Hierarchy? Like, uh, parent/child, officer/enlisted, judge/litigant, prison guard/inmate, cop/suspect , employer/employee -- well, you get the idea. Anyone who wants to rant against hierarchy needs to specify exactly what hierarchy they're talking about.
@JimMahler @sinnnusssishii @jeporcher @SabinaKnight @bryankam these examples, but also groups of any size usually select leaders. How those leaders are selected is very important.
