@ReimanSaara @dgar one day i need to look at Aristotles work on biology. with the original greek (and gotta learn some therefore...) he apparently makes lots of detailed observations
at the same time in his 'on animal locomation' her reports lots of real NONSENSE, and there is no sense in the text of 'hmm... let's go check that observation..'
strange texts. do we even know what their contexts were?
grazie per la condivisione Garlo. Spero che tu abbia un bel nuovo anno.
@dgar I think science should skip the search for quantum gravity and move straight to how the laws of physics are arrived at.
The laws that govern our reality, in a philosophical way, could be seen as the ultimate authority.
This doesn't sit well with me as an anarchist, as you can imagine.
Abolish the oppressive laws of physics, that's what I say.
I'll get my coat.
I have it here.
*hands coat to @Air_Quotes_Comedian
Although, making up dark matter to explain why the observed universe doesn’t fit the calculations without it does raise questions…
😂
@dgar Until they offer up evidence of its existence I'll just remain skeptical. I'm far more concerned that scientific evidence is emerging that reality isn't deterministic. I'd just gotten used to the notion that randomness is an illusion caused by lacking all the information. I cannot wrap my pea-sized brain around any law that would allow for indeterminacy.
Perhaps, much like in battle, in physics there is no law.
Bollocks, I just potentially discovered determinism isn't compatible with anarchism.
I'm having a truly terrible morning here.
