How Finland Is Teaching a Generation to Spot Misinformation

The Nordic country is testing new ways to teach students about propaganda. Here’s what other countries can learn from its success.

The New York Times
@alasaarela We spend our money on sending weapons and other killing machines to Ukraine rather than the education of our children.
@tannermireault Better to send weapons to defend freedom and democracy than sending Americans to die in wars of conquest in the middle east.
@alasaarela Either way I’m anti-war so I don’t like to see it as if we’re not fighting here we should be fighting here. That’s called the Military industrial complex lol
@tannermireault Yes I am acutely aware of the problems arising from having such a complex. They will do anything to keep manufacturing more weapons for profit, so I rather see those used in Ukraine to defend civilians from Putin's fascist invaders than the US starting yet another war elsewhere.
@alasaarela So you’re cool with the sexist terrorists in the Middle East killing innocent families and children…? Your justification for war is so intriguing... justifying the military industrial complex to defend certain citizens but not others… Idk your political affiliation, but you sound like a Bush style Republican the way you’re defending war.
