One of my fave #punk bands to ever see multiple times live was #Fugazi 🀘I've always enjoyed their live sets. Prefer them live over studio album sound because their power is in the raw, live performances. They get crowds pumped up well.

This is one of my fave Fugazi tracks, Turnover 🎢 Meant to be played, LOUD.

Ever see the doc "Another State of Mind"? Great scene of Ian McKay working at Haagan Dazs in like 1982 DC.
@chriscarpenter Yes, it's a fab doc film! I wish I had a VHS copy.

@chriscarpenter Yes, but I just wanted my old classic old school copy. I still have a working VCR 😊✌

@msquebanh
Ha. Awesome. That would def be awesome to have on VHS. I saw that doc for the first time on Night Flight.

@chriscarpenter I wasn't old enough to watch that. But I am stuck in mostly older music time machine & am ok with that.
@msquebanh
Yeah I aged myself πŸ€·πŸ˜„
@chriscarpenter I aged myself too. I'm not that far from ya 🀣✌
@msquebanh I love that. Suggestion is one of my favorites: why can't I walk down the street...
@Subumbral My fave Fugazi shows from the past were the ones where they were held in hole the wall kinda places with indoor skate ramps or outdoors 😎🎡🎸 They put on rad live shows!
@msquebanh My fave band of all timeπŸ’―
@Funksta_Uzz Good choice. I'm still a big fan! I had lots of fun at their shows & collected a lifetime worth of memories πŸ₯°πŸŽΆπŸŽΈπŸŽ΅πŸ€˜
@msquebanh Awesome! I only saw them once, so I'm quite envious😊
@Funksta_Uzz I saw them a couple times for free because my friends opened for them back in the day & I would occasionally volunteer with sound & audio setups.
@msquebanh
Nice. My friends' band also opened for them. I can't recall if I was lucky enough to get a comp entry though. There were a few of us with our hands upπŸ˜€
@Funksta_Uzz I never asked for comps because I was way too shy back then. I didn't speak out much & kinda did the quiet wallflower girl thing 🀣 I only paid for one show in Van. Rest I worked behind scenes or got brought along with friends playing as part of their crew.
@msquebanh
Wallflowers and crew are the unsung heroes of any scene πŸ‘
@Funksta_Uzz ❀❀thank you for understanding that!❀❀
@Funksta_Uzz What's your fave Fugazi tracks?

@msquebanh
Killtaker is my favourite album, but as far as tracks go, some of my top tracks include:

Suggestion, Turnover, KYEO, Strangelight, Bed for the Scraping, The Word, Five Corporations, Life and Limb, Forensic Scene, Smallpox Champion, Merchandise, Promises, Rend It, Caustic Acrostic.

How about you?

@Funksta_Uzz 13 Songs & In On the Kill Taker are my fave albums!

My fave tracks are:

Blueprint, Smallpox Champion, Rend It, Forensic Scene, Shut the Door, Target, No Surprise & Epic Problem (other than tracks already shared 😊)

@msquebanh I loved that their shows were always all ages and reasonably priced too!
@BrentInMasto Two of the best things about their shows! I also remember that they got folks to help protect anyone who showed up in wheelchair too! They were the only band that I knew of who were pretty huge on accessibility for fans πŸ₯°βœŒ
