I found this in a little box tonight — an early logo of mine for Sensations in Grand Forks, North Dakota, back when the world was much smokier. In retrospect, I wish I had used a different yet complementary typeface for the second line, but it did the job.

Strongest among them is the gospel-influenced "The Love We Make," inspired by the heroin-related death of Revolution guitarist Wendy Melvoin's brother Jonathan. It features one of Prince's most compelling vocal performances ever.

#ThrowbackThursday to perhaps the summer of 1990 when I and four other boys - two of whom I'd been to school with - went backpacking around the Greek islands for a couple of weeks. I've no idea which island this is nor the name of the boy on the right here on the beach but on the left with the leg kick is the organiser of the trip, Jason Roberts. Sadly lost touch with him after this.
