Starbucks employees to go back to office 3 days a week

Approximately 3,750 employees are based out of the Sodo headquarters. The policy will also apply to workers within commuting distance of regional offices.

@w7voa I agree. I mean, they will still work, *and* consume their sugary drinks. It its a win-win! I wonder from where the “three days a week” magic number comes. And why two of them *must* be Tuesday and Wednesday?

Things like these make me think of some bored guy, sitting atop, trying to make changes to feed his boredom.

@w7voa maybe Starbucks should do something about their ethics and social impact, instead of telling people to come to the office so they will think Starbucks is doing something about their ethics and social impact again.
@w7voa why is a coffee place making people go to an office? Lol
@w7voa “He also said it is unfair that office employees can work from home while store employees have to work in person.”
@w7voa "adding that many employees crave a bigger meaning in their work". It's always inspiring to hear from CEOs as to how many of their employees derive such intense personal satisfaction in their lives from their middle manager position at a multinational coffee shop chain, and how they can fill the gaps in their clearly inadequate social lives by forcing their colleagues to join them in the office after 3 years of extra time with their families, better food, extra sleep and the cost and stress savings of not having a commute.
@w7voa sounds like they need a union...
@w7voa They've pulled seats from the SB's I used to go to, so makes sense. 😐
@w7voa one does not conspire to supress workers rights and evade taxes while working from Laptop in Starbucks (that just might be a target for worker rights suppression) apparently.
@w7voa I’ve never understood the mania for where someone’s a$$ is by admin.

@w7voa I used to have a 2 quad-venti-white-mocha per-day habit…. (Do the math on that, $15 a day * 365 days (because trust me, I never missed it)

Gave it all up and bought a Keurig over their stance on Unions…. As someone who won’t buy a car not built in a union plant, I felt it was awfully hypocritical of me to buy my coffee from a company that engaged in active union-busting…

Starbucks can go fuck itself with a cactus.

@w7voa Nah. The bandwidth is a so lousy there & riddled with data thieves, they'd
put the company at risk while never getting anything done. 🤣
