I’m glad to see at least *some* GOP House members (four now and counting from his home state) call for George Santos to resign. His local party bosses concur. Santos must go!

Let’s keep up the pressure. Americans agree on so little, but most would say that he should step down. The GOP leadership needs to understand this.

Preserving their slim majority takes precedence over ethical, moral & decency concerns. Just like they defended Trump’s insurrection & corruption, they will defend Santos fraudulent & indefensible stand of not resigning. They’ll manufacture flimsy excuses, obfuscate & evade responsibility. It’s become the only Party rule: keep power at all costs.

They just want people under their thumb. The election result was a clear repudiation of abortion laws yet the first act of the GOP was to introduce a new national abortion law. @georgetakei I agree, but I don't like how it strengthens the perception that lying, rather than deceiving, is the line to not cross. A society that says it's okay to deceive as long as technically you didn't lie is still a society without truth.

I do not care that he didn't really work for Goldman Sachs. I DO care that sinema lied about how she would vote. But holding her responsible isn't even on the table

Unfortunately McCarthy is only out for HIMSELF. He knows Santos would be his breaking vote FOR him everytime (must be a deal he made to keep him in Congress).
McCarthy KNOWS Santos had deceived The People & "won" an election in N.Y. by running on 'pretending to be a person he was NOT'.
So when McCarthy claimed that he will keep Santos to "honor" The People's voice, he is full of sh*t, and he KNOWS it.
