Love this!
@TinCanWin the developer in me saw some potential for another one of my #ChatGPTExperiments
@imwald @TinCanWin you could have just used graphviz or anything else and done that with way less work lol
@apodoxus @TinCanWin 💯 right. However the experiment was less to generate some PUML and more to see if #ChatGPT would execute the described refactoring idea. And it did. Note how I described the original state diagram and what bothered me about it.
@TinCanWin just noticed, along the way it also fixed a typo I did: ‘I want to so this’
@TinCanWin I guess, that is a bit too often how people are bullied into doing stuff.
@TinCanWin Feel the fear and do it anyway ☺️
@TinCanWin I always come back to "the more do, the more you can do"
@TinCanWin where is "endlessly put it off and do a bunch of other things instead"?
@Sjkiinay @TinCanWin also there's "look at it for an instant, then walk away, but come back later and look at it for a couple seconds, then leave again, but return sooner this time and look at it for a minute or two, and so on, ad-not-quite-infinitum, until eventually you get to the point where you're not going to leave until you do it."

@jsit I did not get it from Twitter, but from LinkedIn. Where there was no attribution, which is wrong.

@TinCanWin And then rinse and repeat. Do it a thousand times and still be scared (even though nothing bad has ever happened) but do it again anyway.
@TinCanWin I like to tell my kids: "It's ok to be scared, but it's also ok to be brave."
@TamarYellin @TinCanWin Brave people are not never scared, they do things despite being scared
@autisticcyclist @TinCanWin absolutely. Also, there are some people who I think their fear ticker is just broken. Like maybe this dude. https://hbr.org/2021/05/lifes-work-an-interview-with-alex-honnold

@TamarYellin @TinCanWin oh there's brave and then there's crazy 😂

@TinCanWin

Neil Armstrong was asked if he was afraid, walking on the Moon. Neil said you'd have to be a fool not to be afraid, but he had a job to do…

@TinCanWin This is awesome :) If only the alt text wouldn’t somewhat destroy the joke. (According to the alt text, the bottom right box says “do it”, not “do it scared”.)
@scy i know, i messed it up 😒
@TinCanWin feel the fear and do it anyway! 🙌💕🤩

@TinCanWin Very helpful indeed. As well as this:
I want to do this - AND I‘m scared - do it (scared).
„But“ is stronger than „and“.

[-> ACT = acceptance and commitment therapy, Steven Hayes et. al.] ☺️

@TinCanWin
If a thing is worth doing, it is worth doing scared. If a thing is not worth doing, it is not worth doing scared.
@TinCanWin My life with crippling anxiety.
@TinCanWin anything worth doing is worth doing poorly… it’s better than not at all!
@david can't agree on this one. For example, what if one takes a dump poorly.... or uses a knife to cut veggies, or...

@TinCanWin wow! This just cured my executive dysfunction!! /s

@TinCanWin feel the fear, do it anyway. That's my motto 😂
@TinCanWin That's good. There's more to be gained by doing it scared.
@TinCanWin Oh yes, I totally agree.
Nearly shat my pants because for the first time in over three years I have the possibility to do some test working days.
I just closed my eyes and went for it.
@TinCanWin This describes all clown porn.
@TinCanWin What 'bout: I don't want to do it, but have to plus I'm scared...?
@TinCanWin Gewoon een beetje meer Pippi Langkous zijn☺️
@TinCanWin I am always scared and do stuff anyway ❤️
