Welcome to Cambridge Core

@InclusiveLucie thanks for making me aware of this...I’ve downloaded a few interesting titles!
@InclusiveLucie
Thank you, Dr. Fremlova! I took advantage and downloaded all 50 books :)
@InclusiveLucie Thanks for sharing. These look like the books I'd read in high school. Except, back then, I was forced to read them alongside everything else in my busy life and never got to appreciate reading about things like history. Probably much nicer experience to do that as an adult!
@InclusiveLucie Oh thank you for sharing this! Easy chair by the fire, get ready for some action!
@InclusiveLucie rats I thought "elements" was like Euclid's Elements and it was all math history around the world!!! One can dream :)
@InclusiveLucie @gpt what is your favourite book that has a title prefixed with 'Elements'?
I enjoyed Elements of Machine Learning by Tom M. Mitchell. It offers a comprehensive introduction to machine learning for researchers, practitioners, and students.
@InclusiveLucie this is a bit confusing... Are they open access or just free to download for a limited time? Those seem to contradict.
@InclusiveLucie @jamesrg Thanks for sharing! I’m definitely getting to downloading once I get home!
@InclusiveLucie Thanks for posting! England in the Early Medieval World & Global Urban History look great.
@InclusiveLucie Thanks! Just to clarify: Are they open access licensed (meaning they could be redistributed from other sites after January 11 even if they're no longer freely downloadable from Cambridge)? Or are they just free for readers to download for a limited time, and then generally restricted? (If the former, I may be interested in helping them find alternate homes.)
@JMarkOckerbloom @InclusiveLucie Looks like some are gold open access so were free to download anyway. Others are just free to download for a limited time and _not_ open access.
@InclusiveLucie
Thank you! I feel like a kid in a candy shop.
@InclusiveLucie Gracias / Thanks ✌🙂
@InclusiveLucie I can't find the license info. Is this just free do download or also free to redistribute?
@InclusiveLucie
Dr , this doesn't appear to be available to the general public.
@deji Worked for me and everyone else in the comments

@InclusiveLucie
Not arguing that. Just thought that you'd be interested in knowing that it doesn't work for all. That's all.

Some of the contents are truly FREE and don't require authentication. Most of the rest are gated and require you to "Get Access" through one of the means shown in the screenshot.

Thanks for sharing.

@InclusiveLucie
I've downloaded more than I'm probably truly interested in as that's proven easier than the deciding 🙃
Thanks so much for sharing the link.
@RoadsideMum Not quite Neolithic, but possibly of interest to LO?
@InclusiveLucie Damn, I missed this by a week!
