@Amishsupermodel from recollection and an interesting documentary...BMI was first set up by US Insurance companies ....and at some point BMI was reduced ostensibly as a measure to beat folks over the heard to 'get fitter'...bigger premiums more like I reckon.

At 65 and a bit I'm off for an NHS health check on new year's eve...wonder what they'll tell me.
