A friend said he'd seen lingering red-winged blackbirds among such flocks at this late date (#climatechange much?) but I didn't spot any. Raucous unoiled-gate squeaking, squealing and chattering (next vid in thread) until our resident pair of red-tailed hawks scared the whole flock off in a rushing, wing-dusting black cloud. #birding

@leperez1 It was mostly grackles, actually! Surprising given the season. So much open water that's normally frozen solid.
